Popular series Iron Man: Armored Adventures set for Series 2 DVD release
The adventures of teenage Tony Stark as Iron Man have captured the hearts of millions around the globe. The story of the not-so-average teenager, brilliant inventor and heir to a billion dollar company who sets out to protect the innocents of the world from the corrupt is set for another season, as well as an upcoming DVD release.
After confirming that Iron Man: Armored Adventures would be seeing a second season, Marvel Animation president Eric Rollman said: “With the premiere season cherished by fans of all ages across the globe, we are thrilled to work with DQE and Method to bring season two of Iron Man: Armored Adventures to our loyal fans. We have a lot more action and excitement.”
The Iron Man: Armored Adventures Series 2 DVD will be providing audiences of all ages with explosive action scenes and spectacular CGI effects when it hits retail outlets April 19. The Series 2 disc includes episodes from the first season, picking up where the Series 1 DVD left off.
In a recent interview with CBR, show creator Christopher Yost gave details on the series’ electrifying action: “You’re going to see a bunch of fighting. The show has a very unique animated style and let me tell you that when they start the big fights, with the big energy, it’s great. I just saw a screener of episode twelve and it’s pretty great. It’s an Iron Man vs. Crimson Dynamo episode and it’s pretty badass.”
And although the series focuses on a younger version of Iron Man than seen in the original story, Yost promises that hardcore fans will find something they enjoy in the show as well.
“I guarantee you there is so much Iron Man in this show for comic book fans,” Yost said. “I love this show….we’ve found ways to make it as Iron Man as Iron Man gets.”
