Iron Man Tony Stark has all the best toys
It’s hard to compete with Tony Stark when it comes to having the most technologically advanced toys. Scifi Mafia has posted some of the conceptual art from the first season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, a series coming soon to DVD.
One diagram pictures Tony’s advanced wristwatch with “two-way communication, a projection time display system and a connection to the Iron Man armor,” and another gives a “detailed pre-visualization of the testing grounds from episode 1 ‘Iron, Forged in Fire, Part 1.’”
The final conceptual drawing is a glimpse of Whiplash looking “more like a chained-up, deep sea diver-esque Whiplash.”
These sketches give Iron Man fans a glimpse at the spectacular use of CGI utilized in Iron Man: Armored Adventures, a show which has already proven quite popular on a global scale and is already set for a second season.
Volume 2 of the show’s DVD series is set for release April 19 – just ahead of the blockbuster movie release of Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr. Fans who have yet to acquire the Volume 1 DVD will be able to pick up both Volumes 1 and 2 in the Iron Man: Armored Adventures Series 1 complete box set.
The show revolves around a teenage Tony Stark and his adventures inside of his greatest invention – a suit of armor that makes the wearer invincible. Tony isn’t your average high school student; as heir to the billion dollar corporation Stark Industries and genius inventor Tony strives to protect the innocents of the world from the corrupt.
In addition to the DVD release, co-producers Marvel Animation, Method Animation and DQE are once again teaming up to create 26 all-new episodes for a second season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures.
Chairman and CEO of DQE, Tapaas Chakravarti, stated: “This Marvel superhero – Iron Man – has emerged as one of the most popular superheroes of our time. Season two of this animated TV series will take Iron Man fans on a very different visual trip of high action sequences produced in high end CGI. We’re extremely proud of this project, and look forward to adding further momentum to our relationship with Marvel Animation and Method Animation.”
