Iron Man: Armoured Adventures – the heroes

Iron Man: Armored Adventures certainly proved to hold up under the weight of comic book fans’ critical eyes with one of the biggest television premiers that the Nicktoons Network has ever seen.
Though writer Chris Yost is known to construct scripts for the fans, this cartoon is especially kid-friendly with its teenage versions of the original comic book characters.

In the first season of the cartoon series, Tony Stark is featured as a teen genius with a mind for technology. He of course spends much of his time tinkering with his latest inventions, including his latest and greatest: a suit of armor that makes the wearer invincible. Inside of this suit, Tony becomes the Iron Man and is able to battle against a multitude of villains with a plethora of evil plots. Comic Impact calls the show’s main character “a hero for the digital age, a mechanized knight in ever-evolving, adaptable armor.” He may have the weight of the world on his shoulders, but in this series Tony is still just a teenager who has to deal with normal everyday teenage responsibilities in between bouts of saving the world.

In the battle against evil Tony Stark is joined by his friends James Rhodes and Patricia Pepper Pots, better known as Pepper Pots. Rhodey is Tony’s best friend from childhood, as well as the only person who knows Iron Man’s true identity. He is the one person Tony can rely on in a crunch – no matter what. Pepper is a bit of a tomboy, a characteristic she inherited as the daughter of an FBI agent. With her family crime fighting background and her naturally curious, sharp and energetic manner, she is the perfect cohort for Tony and Rhodey.
