Iron Man: Armored Adventures series details revealed

Fans of the Iron Man comic books couldn’t help but notice that in the animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Tony Stark appeared as a teenager rather than an adult hero.

“It was really to make the character a little more approachable for younger kids,” Marvel Entertainment staple writer Christopher Yost tells Mania. “If you look at Tony Stark: he loves the ladies, he loves a little drinky here and there. He’s a weapons maker. He’s not the most kid-friendly character in the world.”

Yost, however, worked hard to maintain the original personality of Tony Stark for the kid’s animated series.
“I think Iron Man: Armored Adventures really speaks to the character of Tony Stark,” Yost insists. “He’s recognizable. He’s still dealing with Star Industries. He’s still got Pepper and Rhodey there. Still an obsessive character. Still hunting down technology. You’re going to recognize him.”

Yost tells the website that viewers will be introduced to an array of villains recognizable from the comic books: Living Laser, Killer Shrike, Blizzard, Mandarin, Dreadknight.
“Any Iron Man fan is going to be pretty pleased with the representation of the rogues’ gallery,” Yost says.
In addition to an array of epic battles, Yost admits there are a few Marvel team-ups in the series.
“You’ll see a few,” Yost reveals. “You’re also going to get, in my opinion, one of the best translations of the Iron Man’s rogue gallery. I think visually the characters are stunning. We throw ‘em at you dude.”
