Iron Man: Armored Adventures home to stunning visual effects, smart writing

After the critically acclaimed and much-loved animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures debuted last year, the show’s worldwide success has inspired a second season. DQ Entertainment, Marvel Animation and Method Animation recently announced that they will be creating 26 new episodes for a second season of the show, which proved to be the highest rated original series premiere on US network Nicktoons. New episodes of the popular series will be coproduced by the aforementioned companies at a multi million Euro production budget.

“This Marvel superhero – Iron Man – has emerged as one of the most popular superheroes of our time,” said DQE chairman and CEO Tapaas Chakravarti. “Season 2 of this animated TV series will take Iron Man fans on a very different visual trip of high action sequences produced in high end CGI. We’re extremely proud of this project, and look forward to adding further momentum to our relationship with Marvel Animation and Method Animation.”

The series sees a teenage Tony Stark take on the responsibilities of Iron Man, and has been acclaimed for its incredible CGI animation and riveting action scenes. Entertainment Weekly noted that the cartoon is home to “smart writing and stellar CG butt-kickery.”

Aton Soumache – Chairman and CEO of Method Animation – gave a statement on the collaboration, saying: “We are very proud to renew our fruitful collaboration with Marvel Animation and DQE for Iron Man: Armored Adventures season two. These new adventures will provide even more stunning visual effects and entertainment for the delight of all Iron Man fans.”

In addition to a second season of the show, Series 2 of the Iron Man: Armored Adventures DVD collection is set for release on April 19. The second DVD release from the series picks up where the first one left off, with spectacularly animated and action-packed episodes from the show’s first season.
