Iron Man: Armored Adventures goes on a new visual trip

On April 19, Volume 2 of the CGI animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures will be available on DVD for the first time ever. The release follows that of Volume 1, and picks up in the middle of the show’s first season, where the first DVD left off. Fans who have yet to collect that first volume will be pleased to know that the complete box set will also be available on that date.

The show has been praised by Entertainment Weekly for its “smart writing and stellar CG butt-kickery,” and it has proven so successful on a global scale that a second season is already in the works.

The New Straits Times writes: “In Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Tony Stark is a teenager who spends his time cramming for exams, testing his latest inventions, thrill-seeking and saving the world. He has to reconcile his teenage desires with the responsibilities that comes with his revolutionary invention: hi-tech flight armor, through which the world knows him as Iron Man.”

The upcoming second season of Iron Man promises to take the action-packed show to the next level, especially in its visual effects, as Marvel Animation continues to explore the adventures of teenage Tony Stark.

Co-producers DQ Entertainment, Marvel Animation and Method Animation are once again teaming up to bring fans the show they’ve come to love. Chairman and CEO of DQE, Tapaas Chakravarti, said: “This Marvel superhero – Iron Man – has emerged as one of the most popular superheroes of our time. Season two of this animated TV series will take Iron Man fans on a very different visual trip of high action sequences produced in high end CGI. We’re extremely proud of this project, and look forward to adding further momentum to our relationship with Marvel Animation and Method Animation.”
