Hype for Iron Man: Armored Adventures season two

Even as the Series 2 DVD of Iron Man: Armored Adventures prepares to hit the market on April 19, the creators of the series are heading back to the drawing board to create an entire new season of the show.

American website ToonBarn writes: “With all the hype building for the upcoming Marvel sequel to hit theaters, Iron Man 2, it might be easy to overlook the success of the Nicktoons Iron Man animated series, Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

“The DQ Entertainment and Method Animation toon has dominated its spot in the Nickelodeon universe, as work kicks off for 26 more episodes in a second season. Fans can look forward to the new season starting up late in 2010/ early 2011, probably right around the same time you can be watching Iron Man 2 on DVD!”

Picking up where the first DVD Series left off, the Iron Man: Armored Adventures Series 2 disc contains action-packed episodes detailing Iron Man’s adventures in stunning cutting-edge CGI.

The 3D GCI animated series, based on Marvel Comics superhero Iron Man, is story edited by the same man who worked on Wolverine and the X-Man, Chris Yost. There are a few differences from the comics, especially in that the main character Tony Stark is a teenager on the TV series.

Young Tony Stark, heir to the billion dollar corporation Stark Industries, utilizes his genius technological know-how as well as the resources at his fingertips to create and maintain his greatest invention yet: a suit of armor that makes the wearer invincible, and turns Tony Stark into Iron Man. With the help of his best friend Rhodey and classmate Pepper Potts, Tony makes it a point to protect the lives of the innocent from would-be aggressors.
