Excitement for Iron Man: Armored Adventures on DVD
The release of the first six episodes of the first season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures created a buzz of its own among young comic fans.
The series has also been held up by critics, such as those at Entertainment Weekly who noted that the series posses “smart writing and stellar CG butt-kickery.”
Legions of Gotham writes: “Marvel Animation, Method Films and Genius Products bring the hit television show Iron Man: Armored Adventures to DVD and Blu-ray Disc for the very first time…. The 3D CGI animated hit television series Iron Man: Armored Adventures holds the record for the highest-rated original series premiere on Nicktoons Network and its popularity continues to grow, increasing the time period average for boys 6-11 week after week.”
In the show, teenage genius Tony Stark has completed his greatest invention – the Iron Man suit which makes him invincible – finished from the outset of the series. However, he tragically is unable to show his father his accomplishment, as Howard Stark is killed in a plane crash.
Now Tony must team up with his friends Rhodey and Pepper in order to become the hero he was meant to be.
The television series is based heavily upon the Marvel Entertainment Iron Man franchise, and definitely won’t disappoint hardcore fans of the comic book series.
“We wanted to see Tony Stark, the Tony Stark that comic book fans and now movie fans know,” series head writer Christopher Yost told Comic Book Resources. “We wanted him to be recognizable…. Every episode and every story we really approached it like that.”
